People frequently ask about the best types of foods to snack on. I thought I would share a few food options here. Be creative, mix and match foods from these categories through out the day to maximize your health, and weight loss!
-Almonds and other nuts (remember about appropriate portion sizes…. NOT the whole package
)
-Legumes/Beans
-Whole grains
-Superfruits: blueberries, raspberries, acai berries, pomegranate, blackberry, gogiberry, mangosteen.
-Dairy
-Peanut Butter (there are some natural peanut butters that are a healthy choice)
-Bright orange, green (leafy), and red veggies
-Post work out snacks? Try chocolate milk, granola bars or a home made smoothy!
